Jeff Luca

President

Jeff has been the company President since 2012. Prior to that he worked on receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management and then serving as Vice President under our founder Jim Luca. Jeff’s goal has been to build a team of the best leaders in the industry and since doing that the company has experienced exponential growth year over year. One quote that sums up his view on leadership is from Sam Walton – “There is only one boss: the customer. And he can fire everybody in the company from the chairman on down, simply by spending his money somewhere else.”

Jeff is most proud of the employees of Luca Electric and knows that without their hard work and dedication to our company, we would not have ever experienced the massive growth we have seen under his leadership.

Howard Bragg

Executive Vice President of Construction

Howard has been in the electrical business in the Atlanta area since 1972. He began his electrical career as an electrician’s helper and progressing to Journeyman Electrician, job site Foreman and Project Manager to where he is now as Senior VP of Construction at Luca Electric. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons, and two granddaughters. He enjoys contemporary and classic blues music as well as being at his house and in his garden.

Jeff Snead

Executive Vice President Pre-Construction

Jeff joined Luca Electric in 2013. With over 44 years in the electrical industry he has seen it all from commercial, industrial and healthcare electrical experience. The last 34 years of his career being in management and estimating. Jeff has been a Master Electrical license holder since 1986. He has been married to his wonderful wife Judy since 1981 and has 3 children, 2 grandchildren, and 2 sponsored Honduran children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, church activities, traveling, and baseball.

Devin Swafford

Vice President of Operations

Devin has been in the electrical industry since 2006. He has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Kennesaw State University. He maintains electrical licenses in multiple states for Luca electric. He is a proud father of three beautiful children and in his down time enjoys being on a golf course.

Jason McKenzie

Regional Vice President

Jason joined Luca Electric in 2021 and has over 20 years experience in the electrical industrial market, estimating and management. Jason also simultaneously served 6 years in the Marine Corps Reserves in data networking and satellite communications. In his he free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and horses.

Drew Howard

Electrical Engineer

Drew is a Marine Corps Veteran and attended Southern Polytechnic at Kennesaw State University to receive his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He began his career as an Electrical Engineer in the Atlanta area in 1999. For over 20 years, Drew has enjoyed supporting some award-winning projects as he worked in various engineering and leadership roles. Drew is a licensed Professional Engineer and has diverse experience in the construction industry with project types including office tenant improvement, automated cold storage facilities, test facilities, manufacturing, food and beverage, labs, and warehouse distribution facilities. Drew most enjoys spending time with family, and some of his hobbies include fishing, boating, golfing, and playing the drums.

Joe Chaney

Electrical Engineer

Joe joined us in 2023 working as an Electrical Engineer. He graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering last May from The University of Alabama and is thrilled to bring his skills to Luca Electric. Before joining, he worked as an Electrical Engineer in industrial facilities writing job plans, managing electricians, and working alongside contractors to upgrade machinery. By day, he works alongside the Engineering department designing electrical systems. Off-duty he finds solace in playing guitar, designing systems with microcontrollers, and getting his exercise in. Eager to contribute his experience to Luca Electric, he’s here to spark new ideas and collaborate on exciting projects.

Blaine Luca

Safety Director / Company Pilot

Blaine is our company safety director and one of our company’s pilots. After attending the University of Oklahoma, Blaine continued his education by getting his commercial pilots license and OSHA 500 certification. In his spare time, Blaine enjoys hanging out on the golf course or in a deer stand.

Jake Luca

Project Engineer / Company Pilot

Jake joined us in the beginning of 2023 working as a Project Engineer. He spends his days working under Project Managers while also finishing up his Bachelor of Science in Business at the University of Alabama. Jake is also an instrument rated commercial pilot, so he gets to fly different Project Managers to our distant job sites. Jake enjoys hunting and fishing but most of all, takes pride in being the best golfer here at Luca Electric.

Don Eller

Pre-Construction / Estimating

Don Eller completed the IBEW LU# 323 Apprenticeship in 1973, beginning his electrical career of 50+ years. He obtained his first contractor’s license in 1979 when he began his electrical contractor journey. Don has started three businesses that have completed successful projects from Florida to California. His love for the industry and wealth of knowledge and experience provides him with personal satisfaction. Don’s estimating role with Luca Electric is the icing on the cake. He is looking to retire from the industry while working with Luca Electric.

Dean Stewart

Pre-Construction / Estimating

Dean joined Luca Electric in 2017. He has over 30 years commercial electrical experience as well as over 20 years electrical estimating experience. Dean has a Masters degree in business marketing. He enjoys fishing, outdoors, NASCAR, guitar, family activities, motorcycles, my wife and 2 dogs, and helping others in need.

Rhett Burrell

Pre-Construction / Estimating

Rhett has been an Estimator for Luca Electric since 2021. Before joining, he worked as an RF Engineer for 17 years doing equipment installations and repairs, provided customer data acquisitions, and managed technical support. In his spare time, Rhett enjoys being with family and friends.

Keith Davis

Project Engineer

Keith has been a Project Engineer with Luca Electric since 2021. He assists the Project Managers with daily tasks such as lighting and gear take offs and working with fire alarm vendors and getting pricing. Keith also assists with procuring and tracking delivery of job site materials. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife or on the golf course. He also likes to watch all the sports possible.

Chad Cantrell

Purchasing Manager

Chad has been the Purchasing Manager at Luca Electric since 2015. He has worked in the electrical industry for 24 years with the majority of his experience on the electrical distributor side. When not at work, Chad enjoys spending time with his family and the outdoors.

Kevin McGraw

Project Manager

Kevin has been a Project Manager with Luca Electric since 2021 and has more than 10 years in the industry. Before joining Luca Electric, he worked for a sports marketing company and helped manage equipment installations around the US. On the weekends he enjoys spending time with his wife who teaches Elementary school and his two teenage sons Carson and James. Ask him about the game last night and he’ll never shut up.

Keith Deavers

Project Manager

Keith is a Project Manager with 28 years in the industry. He has been at Luca Electric since 2016. Starting with commercial retail in the1990’s and then moving into distribution warehouses. Throughout his years in the industry he has had the opportunity to specialize in many cold storage and food processing distribution. Spare time is spent with my daughter and family making memories.

Matt Mckenzie

Project Manager

Matt has worked in the electrical trade since 2010 and has been employed by Luca Electric since 2017. As a Project Manager, Matt oversees multiple jobs across the United States. Matt enjoys spending time with his wife of 13 years and his 2 sons. When not at work, he spends most of his time on the baseball field where his oldest son plays for a local travel team.

Jon Couette

Project Manager

Jon is a project manager at Luca Electric and has over 20 years of experience in the electrical industry. He attended Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis, MN from 2002-2005 where he completed his A.S. in Electrical Construction and Maintenance. He then joined IBEW Local 292 in Minneapolis, MN as an apprentice electrician and completed a 5-year apprenticeship program. From there he acquired a Master Electrical license in Minnesota and North Dakota which has allowed him to expand his experience from journeyman worker to superintendent and on to Project Manager collaborating on projects that have exceeded the 100mm mark. He currently holds a contractor’s license in South Carolina, North Carolina, Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota. Notable Projects include Toray Composite Materials America, Inc. Duncan, SC. Samsung Electronics America phase 2, Newberry, SC. DAA Draxlmaier Automotive Expansion, Duncan, SC. Whiting Oil & Gas Compressor Addition, New Town, ND.

Matt Cosby

Project Manager

Matthew Cosby is an experienced Electrical Project Manager with over 25 years of industry experience and has extensive knowledge of electrical systems design, installation, and maintenance. Throughout his career, Matthew has successfully managed various complex electrical projects, including power distribution systems, lighting systems, and critical systems. He has a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Matthew is an excellent communicator and team player, able to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. He is highly skilled in project planning and scheduling, risk management, and budget control, and is committed to ensuring that projects are delivered to the satisfaction of clients and stakeholders. In his spare time, Matthew enjoys golf, traveling and spending time with his family.

Eric Patchett

Project Manager

With over 15 years of experience in the electrical industry, Eric began his career in Wichita, KS in 2008 where he joined IBEW Local 271, completed the apprenticeship program and obtained his Journeyman’s License. Eric and his family moved to Atlanta in 2017 where he transitioned from schools and healthcare projects to large scale distribution centers while also growing his career from Foreman to Project Management. Eric is also a U.S. Army veteran having served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He has been married to his wonderful wife Jade since 2004 and has 2 children, Jackson and Emersyn. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors including golf, fishing, and hunting.

Amy Shook

Senior Contract Administrator

Amy is the Senior Contract Administrator and Accounts Receivable Manager at Luca Electric. She has been a part of the Luca team for a total of 17 years. Amy is a proud mother of 3 amazing young adult children. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her family and making the most of every day.

Controller

Ame has recently joined the team at Luca Electric as the Controller. She has over 26 years of experience in accounting. Away from work she enjoys working puzzles and traveling. Always be positive, smile and make the most of every day!

Accounting Manager / Human Resources

Elaine has been the accounting and Human Resources manager at Luca Electric since 2006. She is the proud Nana to three grandkids and two great grandkids. Away from work she enjoys spending time with her family and loves to read.

Julie Hartman

Project Adminstrator

Julie is a Project Administrator that has been with Luca Electric since 2016. She assists the Project Managers with daily tasks including running drawings or pulling permits. She handles all of the out of town housing and some of the accounts payables. Before coming to Luca, she worked at Atlanta Electrical Distributors for two years and that is when she first got into the electrical business. She is the mother of three boys, two of whom are grown and one still in high school. In her free time, she likes spending time with her family and walking her dog.

Lisa Abernathy

Project Administrator

Lisa has worked in the construction industry in some capacity her entire adult life. She began out in the field working for a GC and came to Luca Electric in 2001 as an administrator. She did everything from AR, AP, payroll, HR, as well as project administration. She was here for 7-1/2 years and left to explore other options. After doing some freelance work and working as a project administrator for a GC, she came back to Luca in 2022. Lisa’s son spent many days of his summer vacation as a child coming to Luca’s office and “helping” with paperwork. He grew up with an incredible work ethic and has since graduated from The Ohio State University and is now working as a software engineer.

Sarah Hardy

Project Assistant

Sarah has been a Project Manager assistant at Luca since 2022. She is a people person and enjoys spreading positivity through the office. She enjoys spending time with family and friends along with watching football and baseball. She loves being outdoors, hiking, gardening, going to the beach and exploring new places. She celebrates life every day and looks for positivity in all things.
